MYHA Girls' Programs & Events

MYHA aims to offer young female hockey players opportunities to compete at the level that is commensurate with their development and desired commitment as a hockey player, from beginner to college bound, in a community that fosters camaraderie, a lifetime love of the game, and outstanding sportsmanship.

We will also be organizing supplemental events throughout the season to further build the Girls community at MYHA and in the region.

For players looking for an all-girls experience, MYHA will offer the following teams: 19U, 16U, 14U, 12U, 10U

Teams will compete in the CBHL girls divisions, the AGHF Showcase League as well as select tournaments throughout the season

Travel teams will generally practice twice a week in addition to a skills clinic once a week, and play 1-2 games per weekend. Practices start in late August, and the season runs through early March and/or through CBHL and USAH playoffs/Nationals.

Schedules

Most MYHA game schedules can be found on the CBHL or AGHF websites.  Consolidated results across all games can be found on myhockeyrankings.com.

For tournament and non-conference games, please contact the the team directly.  To get team contact information, you can use the info@myha.org contact to request team specific contact information.

MYHA COACHES OF THE YEAR!

By MYHA 07/22/2024, 10:45am EDT

MYHA selects coaches for this award based on quantitative and qualitative aspects of nominations that you, the members, submit at the end of the season.  We are fortunate to have so many deserving coaches who dedicate countless hours to the development of our children as hockey players.  In fact, MYHA boasts over 200 head and assistant volunteer coaches in our House and Travel programs combined. We are also fortunate to have many teams that achieved success on the scoreboard, competing at the highest levels in their divisions.   However, this award is ultimately about recognizing the coaches that, based on your input, exemplify MYHA’s philosophy and its commitment to positive coaching and fostering a lifetime love of hockey.

While the award often correlates with team performance, team performance is not a criterion considered by the Coach of the Year Committee.

Because of their work and that of all our volunteer coaches, our program continues to be one of great value to our member families.  This year's winners' names will be added to the Cleveland Howard Coach of the Year Award plaque that can be found in the Rockville Ice Arena’s lobby outside of Rink 1.
