 The House League evaluations start the weekend after Labor Day, with sessions on Saturdays and Sundays. Evaluation Schedules and Group Assignments for September 2025 will be posted on the Evaluation page by Sep 1: Click here.

Once teams are formed, after the last jamboree weekend, each team will get their schedule for Saturday practices (varying times) and Sunday games (varying times).  The first practice for all teams is Saturday, October 11, times TBA.

MYHA has house leagues at the 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U age levels. Ages are based on the age of the child on Dec 31st of the playing season. Children under 9 participate in our 6U and 8U cross ice programs.

Participants must have some hockey experience and the league welcomes boys and girls.

There is no checking in the MYHA House League.  The Commissioners form evenly balanced teams by conducting evaluations and observing several games in jamboree format in September.  The regular season runs from October through mid-March, concluding with our End of Season Tournament.

Players with no hockey experience should begin with Rockville Ice Arena's Learn to Play program and move to MYHA's Advanced Instructional program.
