MYHA Bantam LA Gold Wins Mountain King Tournament
Congratulations to MYHA Bantam Lower A Gold For Winning the Mountain King Tournament
The MYHA Blue Devils faced off against quality teams from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia over the MLK weekend. Despite being the underdogs in every game (by as much as 4 goals), the boys in Blue should true grit and showed that no matter how good an opponent is, they can be beaten.
The Blue Devils were 1-1-1 after round robin play securing the #2 seed and earning a tough semi-final matchup against the Frederick Freeze. The Blue Devils and Freeze did not meet in the round robin but the Freeze had only lost to the top seeded Delaware Rough Riders.
The Blue Devils dominated the game from the start and galloped to the finals with a 4-1 victory.
In the championship game, LA got a rematch with the Lawrence Flames whom they had battled to a 3-3 draw in their round robin matchup. The contest was no contest as the Devils rolled to a 4-1 victory.
