MYHA Teams Are Victorious in Presidents Cup in Pittsburgh
MYHA 14U B brought home its third championship banner after beating the Mt. Lebanon Hornets 5-2 in the finals at the Pittsburgh President's Cup. MYHA 16U UA Took Home the Silver Medal Falling to the Pittsburgh Predators 4-3 in the Minor A Final.
The 14U B team traveled to Pittsburgh for the President's Cup tournament in February, and after placing second in its bracket, beat the Mt. Lebanon Hornets handily, 5-2, in the championship game. The team also won the Regional Silver Stick Tournament in Columbia, MD (and was a semi-finalist in the Silver Stick finals in Pelham, Ontario), and the Congressional Cup Mid-Winter Classic in Ashburn, earning a tournament "hat-trick". The team will be traveling to Hampton Roads in early March for the CBHL playoffs.
The 16U UA team fell just short 4-3 in the highly competitive Minor A division.
