For the second time in approximately nine months, MYHA players feature prominently in a Wall Street Journal article.  Anne Marie Chaker’s “For Many Girls, Figure Skating Loses Its Edge to Hockey” highlights a host of our 8U girls—Margaret Bailey, Rory Benz, Sara Caldicott, Josie Gaudry, Madison McNeill, Emma Mills and Lillian Robbins—in photos and text.  The print edition version of the article can be found here.  The online version, available here, has more photos of our players.

MYHA encourages you to take a few minutes to read the article.  Of particular note, the concluding paragraph of the article focuses on two core values of our program—sportsmanship and confidence development.  It reads, “Sara Caldicott, the 8-year-old in Maryland, says she likes the support she gets from her teammates.  At a recent girls’ tournament, she got hugs from her friends at the end of a winning game. ‘It makes me feel confident,’ she says.”

MYHA thanks Lesley Caldicott for her efforts to get MYHA and these girls in our program highlighted in a widely-read global publication.
